  Gyr Falcon

A Gyr Falcon hybrid is the latest commission at Wild Art; the bird, a falconer's sub-adult female, had flown from Kent, only to hit overhead wires close to Newmarket. This most powerful of falcons grows to the size of an adult female Goshawk, dwarfing its Peregrine cousin. Other recent commissions include a five foot long Iguana, three adult Badgers, a Eurasian Otter, a large Spaniel, a number of Barn Owls, Kestrels and Sparrowhawks, both Great Spotted and Green Woodpeckers, and last but not least a Carrion Crow.
