  Common Buzzard

A 1st calendar year Common Buzzard, very similar to the one shown, was brought in to Wild Art at the end of December - a road casualty from South Wales - and is now about to be returned to its finder. Interestingly, Buzzard populations are thriving, spreading eastwards across England. In September of 2000, a bird of a similar age was knocked down by a train just over the border in Suffolk - this too came to Wild Art.
