  Restoration and Repair

Repair and refurbishment of previously mounted specimens is a sought-after speciality at Wild Art; mounts are brought in for repair, restoration, remodelling or simply to be cleaned, from public as well as private collections. Recent projects have included a Roan Antelope (illustrated), a Sable Antelope, a Gemsbok, a Cheetah skin, a Bengal Tiger head, a River Crocodile, an Emperor Penguin, a Roseate Spoonbill, a Northern Pike, a pair of Fallow Deer (ex-Chatsworth House), a Great Grey Owl, a European Otter, a Crowned Crane, a Red Deer stag, a Raven, a full-size Polar Bear, and a collection of birds from New Zealand. Much in demand, this aspect of taxidermy offers an interesting opportunity to work with more exotic species, and to learn from others' work.
