  Tawny Owl fatalities

Over the last 12 weeks no less than 6 Tawny Owls have been brought into Wild Art - a juvenile bird which flew into a window, another 4 which were found dead at the side of the road, and most recently an adult male found lying beneath a tree during a spell of very hot weather. No Barn Owls were found during the same period. Barn Owl population estimates of 4,000 breeding pairs only in the UK are perhaps unfortunately more exact than one would like to think.
