Barn Owl (tyto alba)
Barn Owls' plumage tends to differ according to sex - male birds are generally less marked than females, appearing whiter, as with the bird illustrated, and with a less clearly delineated facial disk (again as shown). This also applies to the much larger Snowy Owl. |
