Common Barn Owl (tyto alba)
Characteristically upright, the Barn Owl shown was found dead at the roadside following a night of heavy rain, near Newmarket. Of all of our resident owls, the Barn Owl is least dressed for wet weather, quickly becoming soaked and rendering it less aerodynamic as a result. |
