Tawny Owl (strix aluco)
Often known as the Wood Owl, the Tawny Owl's camouflage is second to none - its appearance helping it disappear into the trees during the day, its plumage almost 'painted' with dappled light, patches of light and dark. Its short, broad wings are perfect for flight between and through the tree-tops. |
